Do you like hoppy, happy female singing bands?
Here you go! I had a chance to listen to this album a little
more after I received it, and I tried to dissect it, but
couldn’t. This album is very straightforward, somewhat simple
in concept, and very well done! Changing Modes has a great
sound! I love running sound for female singers for some reason,
and I can tell these gals (and guy) would be a ton o’ fun.
I was a huge B52’s fan, all the way back to their first
released album. This album pulls in a lot of the same feel,
sound, and energy! Changing Modes is very much a party style
band, danceable, and has great lyrics. At the same time,
if you are not careful I could see this band playing along
side of punk bands and other garage/indie’ish bands. If you
listen closely you can pick out the sarcasm and play on reality
– a very subtle add-in of humor, and very creative words.
This CD would look great of your shelf!
