Eliah’s self-titled album is a polished work of mostly
straight-ahead modern rock tunes. Its familiar sound extends
to the rubber-stamp vocals—echoing those of Creed.
But it’s an enjoyable listen: good musicianship, catchy
musical pieces and interesting lyrics.
The
songs are accessible to any ear: power chords and heavy
rhythms cut with pop hooks and electric keyboards. There’s
just enough of an edge and variety here to keep things going
from start to finish.
