Here is a very obvious independent record.
The picture on the cover is very cool…showing the top of
an old car sticking up out of the sand on a beach. The insert
booklet is a hand-made 8-page creation, done very well considering.
I am going to get right into being critical on the recording.
I heard a combination of good and horrible technique. I heard
phasing issues, improper distances from instruments, however
it is very consistent throughout.
I can hear that the songwriting is very good. I like the
songs. Scott is definitely going in the right direction,
but has a way to go still in capturing the true essence of
his sound. I would gladly give direction and suggestions
if they are open. But the sound is just not solid. The drumming
falls out of time from start to finish. Practice with a metronome.
I will give this album a general thumbs up for a good attempt.
Keep it up!
