This duo of a group pulled off a powerful almost
alt-country sound with an addicting energy. From start to
finish there are many familiar sounds, chords, and rhythms
that make you feel right at home with these guys. BUT…don’t
get too comfortable. Todd brings in a very fun and unique
blend of tones that seems to really tie in an ultimate sound
that I would imagine brought his musical dream to life in
this record. The second track reminded me of old REM, by
the way. Thomas gave in his healthy two cents worth for tracks
7 and 15 writing two very creative snidbits that help with
the active character throughout the album. Yes, that was
a compliment.
If you enjoy some garage alternative, sort of indie flavors
mixed with this definite alt-country sound, you will totally
enjoy these guys! Every aspect of this album fits the seemingly
intended direction of the album from the title of the band,
the title of the album, the sound, the recording and production
quality, and the website. In addition to the wonderful sound,
you can buy their album at popular spots, and you can even
say you knew them when! Get involved with these guys now
before they make it really big! Visit the website and find
out why they won a contest held by the American Music Awards!
