The Winterpills self-titled debut LP is a slow-core
offering of mood-enhancing riffs, rhythms and harmonies
that’s like an aural rainbow overtaking a rainy

Reed’s backing voice are brought to the front
of the mix, and many of album’s ten tracks consist
of lush and ethereal harmonies.
At times, Price and Redd sing barely above a whisper
to the accompaniment of muted acoustic guitar. But,
often within the same track, the tempo kicks up and
shimmering guitar leads and crashing drums take hold. The
album is quite mellow, but, perhaps surprisingly, holds
