Sugartown is unquestionably, unabashedly pop:
memorable melodies, lushly layered vocal harmonies,
hooky guitar licks and lots of �em! Yet listen
closely and you�ll hear threads of other genres
like jazz, country, and classical all woven together
to create an intriguing new soundscape. The band
is fronted by singer-songwriter-pianist Andrea
Wittgens who, armed with a voice smooth as cognac
and a knack for writing well-crafted songs, made
her way from Nova Scotia Canada to Seattle to
form Sugartown in 2000. Since then, the band
has recorded two albums including the brand new
full-length release �How Do You Love, Aquamarine?�.
The 11 songs on this CD evoke memories of Carole
King and of singer songwriter Erin McKeown, blending
theatrical musical themes with bright pop tunes.
