The concept behind The Stereophones is simple - we are two brothers who record music, then team up with talented filmmakers, artists, and other musicians to create a monthly package of artistic content based on the "song of the month." Finally, once the package is completed, we compile it for digital release to our audience - the Internet.
Starting in September 2010 and ending in June 2011, The Stereophones will release 10 tracks to form an album, titled Trouble, and our audience will have the unique experience of listening to each song as it is recorded. Each of these 10 tracks will come packed with a music video and a piece of artwork inspired by the music. If that isn't enough, we will also be releasing at least 10 remixes of the tracks from Trouble to form a remix album, "behind-the-scenes" footage of the making of each package, and much more. Best of all, we are providing this music and all the goodies that come with it at no cost to our audience.
We are just musicians who love music and art in all of its forms, and we have a slew of talented people who share this love with us and want to contribute to our project (of which we are immensely grateful for). Our mission statement declaration is that we hope to contribute positively to the great body of work that is "art," and we invite you to join us in completing this mission.
